Portfolio Category: Translation
Translation
I’m an independent translator working across the arts, architecture, academia, and the cultural industry.
I work with cultural institutions, digital communication platforms, universities, publishing houses and private clients.
I work mainly with Spanish to English and English to Spanish translation and editing, but I also translate form French, Italian and Catalan.
I have 10+ years’ experience in the field of translating. My work ethic consists of a human-to-human approach that focuses on mobilising my experience in grant writing, institutional and academic communication in order to support and deliver on my client’s goals. I offer an honest assessment and integral support for improving unfinished texts or work in progress, which is key to my approach.
I am very interested in exploring translation as a practice, and I’m currently researching into the intersections between translation, gender, and cultural practice.
Fees and Rates
I offer fair and reasonable rates and strive for happy clients and happy workers. My fees and rates vary depending on a variety of factors: quality of source text or audio files, requested level of editing (proof-reading, copy-editing, or content editing, for instance in grant-writing), economic means of the client, urgency, periodicity, and so on.
Just drop me a line with any general questions, suggestions, or if you want to have a chat about a project in particular! I am very happy to look at your materials in advance and give you an estimate.
